Presence

Presence is a project that I produced last year. It tackles the idea of self-portraiture and asks the question of whether or not a person needs to be visible for a self-portrait to be successful. In this work I have used both balloons that I have filled with my breath, powder paint and glitter to represent myself. The balloons hung on trees in a forest along with the forest backdrop in the powder paint and glitter photographs illustrates the connection that I personally have with the landscape.
